Movement in weak Southern California housing market

April sales figures are 19% below a year ago and the worst since 1995. But volume is up 22% from March, with low-end and foreclosure sales driving the market. The region’s median price holds at $385,000.

Southern California home sales continued to decline in April, with 19% fewer homes sold compared to the same month a year ago, a real estate information service reported today.
